Calm down.  It's standard terminology intended humorously; we didn't
make it up.  The cracklib function that we call in "fascist" mode is
actually called "FascistCheck()"; it shouldn't be surprising that
the argument used to disable it is called "fascist".

It's turned *on* by default, and if you want to keep it that way,
you need never see the word "fascist" on your system.  If you never
want to see the word "fascist" in email, you can use procmail to
protect yourself.

Is it words or facts that bother you?  Red Hat Linux ships in "fascist"
mode; all our systems are "fascist".  We agree that it is reasonable
to want to protect your system; we protect our systems carefully.  We
aren't politically correct, though; I have no desire to ever be PC
either.
