I can bet it is "higher then 1024 cylinder" problem again. I had it on two
different computers already. You probably have big DOS/Win partition and
Linux one is over it. Even if your partition starts below 1024 cylinder you
might get this error message if your "vmlinuz" is actually higher.
Two solutions:
* create small partition below 1024 cylinder and mount it as /boot
(you should keep vmlinuz and vmlinuz.bak here)
* Change hard disk from NORMAL to LBA in CMOS.( you would have to
repartition your drive then). I am not shure if I am right though, but
it helpd me in one of the cases.
