The interesting little closure on the announcement states:

"These RPMs are also available for download at http://pegasus.cc.ucf.edu
/~dsd75511 under the __Parallel Processing and the Bulk Synchronous 
Parallel (BSP) Programming Modle page."

There is a large body of research being done with parallel processing 
on Linux.
