Remove the following lines from /etc/lilo.conf
prompt
timeout=
then re-run lilo
lilo -v
The Lilo documentation explains this.
Also, for many other questions, the book Running Linux, by Matt Welsh
and Lar Kaufman is worth the postage to bring it to you over the desert
sands and seas from O'Reilly Press in California

> Anyone knows how to make Lilo boot without waiting at all. I read the manpage and the Lilo HOWTO and followed the procedure there by putting the following in lilo.conf
>
> delay=0 did not work (it takes few seconds)
>
> timeout=nowait same as above.
