The default maximum mount count seems to be 20. When I reach that I
get the message the original poster got. He said though in a later
message that only the root (boot?) partition is scanned and repaired by fsck
automatically at boot time. So if I get a message about a nonroot
partition's mount count, I have to run fsck manually.
So what is the deal, and where does one reads about this?
Thanks for your thorough response.
