Having just started using gated myself I cannot help you with this but there
is a list dedicated to gated.
It is gated-people@gated.merit.edu
To subscribe send a message with 'Subscribe' in the subject line to
gated-people-request@gated.merit.edu
BTW: I have managed to compile gated 3.6 Alpha 2 for Linux (2.0.18) if you
are interested. There is no OSPF support in this as unless you actually use
OSPF gated will not run with it compiled in.
