Hi

We are unable to 'tar' out to one of the above (SCSI) devices.

We have deleted and recreated /dev/st0 (and /dev/nst0) and then tried
	tar cf /dev/st0 .
and get the reply 'unable to write to device st0'

The scsi tape module is compiled as module and is being loaded by kerneld.

Does anyone have any experience of these tape units - or can anyone else
shed any light on this.

We have even tried loading the scsi tape module by hand using lsmod, and
still it won;t work!
