Can't upgrade to pam-0.50-21.i386.rpm

Thank you to all who responded within minutes to my problem with the
correct case for rpm options. However, when try to upgrade pam, it still
doesn't work. I have been able to upgrade all the other packages as listed
in the errata, but not pam & Netkit (since it needs the new version of pam
to install).
[root@kitch2 upgrades]# rpm -U pam-0.50-21.i386.rpm
error: pam-0.50-21.i386.rpm cannot be installed
Any ideas?
