SCSI tape drives can use two device entries in /dev:
1) /dev/st0 - First SCSI rewinding tape device.
2) /dev/nst0 - First SCSI non-rewinding tape device.
A second tape drive would be on /dev/st1 and /dev/nst1.
Make sure your not using the non-rewinding device.
