I just installed RH 4.0 via FTP. Overall, I must say I'm impressed by the resilience of the install program, and the ease of installation, but I have one, rather major problem that I think ought to be reported.

In the installation procedure, libdl.so.1 was *NOT* installed. Since the login program depends on this, it makes it rather difficult, nay, IMPOSSIBLE to log in.

Now that I have a RH 4.0 system I can't log into in order to fix, can anyone clue me in as to how to get libdl installed so that I can use the system? Is it possible to go through the installation program again and then just install the libdl RPM?

Boy am I glad I didn't do this on a production machine....

Any help much appreciated.
