When I installed RH4.0, I installed everything including
the yp*.rpm. However, when booting, the YP fails with some
fatal error.
But do I really need it?
I am connected to the internet through PPP, which I don't
think I need Yellow Pages.
I eventually however, will want to mount or be mounted
to my Solaris computer at work which has NIS, which is
SUNs version of Yellow Pages. Do I need Yellow Pages for
this, or will NFS suffice?
So can/should I remove the yp* rpms?

                                      Thanks in advance:
                                      Michael J. Yanowitz
