I print just fine with Netscape via the lpr command which appears in the
pop-up window when I click on the print button.

The crummy fonts are a result of the lesser quality of the freeware fonts
in Ghostscript compared to TrueType in Windows. Upgrade to the 4.x
Aladdin version of Ghostscript for much nicer fonts. This version cannot
be distributed on the RedHat CD-ROM, but is available in rpm format by ftp
from ftp.redhat.com.
