Hi,
When I try to do "make menuconfig" or "make xconfig" or "make modules"
or almost anything.... I get a message that says:
no display name and no $DISPLAY environment variable
make: *** [xconfig] Error 1
Or last time I got the make error with the modules... I got a message
that said (in word): "listen, you need to have a kernel compiled with
module option else you can't make modules, but if you want to make a
kernel, you'll need the modules"...
Figures... :-(
Make dep, make clean, make boot, nothing works...I can't seem to find a
possible way to make a kernel for my Alpha 2000 AXP machine... This
feels like I'm stuck in a never-ending fall... anyone can plz help me?
X server doesn't seem to work b/c of my Compaq QVision card... is this
_completely_ impossible????
And... my network card - to get back to the worst thing - needs to have
the kernel recompiled too... else I can't seem to find any support for
my de-422 card... arghhh!!!
There isn't info about this on the net (I've been searching for more
than a week) and no documentation says anything about this. I think it
needs to be documented. If I'll get the chance, I'll do that, but then I
do need this new kernel... hoping that this will solve all my
problems...
Lost -moi-,
Maurice.
