Something similarly insidious happens for those of us who use popclient to
retrieve mail. I have a shell script that reads,

popclient -3 -u billd -p <passwd> mail.voicenet.com -o /var/spool/mail/billd

needless to say, the password is readily obtainable via the ps command.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Bill
