For the crew at RedHat:

The compression libraries were renamed from libgz to libz in Colgate.
This breaks xloadimage, and may break others.

I worked around this by symlinking libz.so.1 to libgz.so.1, but thought
you should know.

[root@titus /usr/lib]# ldd /usr/bin/X11/xloadimage
        ++++ snipped lines ++++
        libgz.so.1 => /usr/lib/libgz.so.1
        ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
[root@titus /usr/lib]# rpm -ql zlib
/usr/lib/libz.so.1.0.4
