RH 3.0.3/ Kernel 2.0/ pTk ?

Has anyone tried to compile/install pTk400.200 under RH3.0.3 and Kernel
2.0? I'm having a really tough time doing so. The error I keep seeing is
that it can't find -lX11 anywhere. I've tried explicitly pointing at
/usr/X11r6/lib, but that doesn't seem to help any. The pTk mailing list
doesn't seem to have much Linux experience, though they have been
tremendously kind with various suggestions.
Any ideas/help will be greatly appreciated.
