I was having the same problem installing from a Lniux ext2 partition. I
downloaded everything again from ftp.redhat.com (including what appear to be
updated versions of the boot.img and supp.img files). The install went okay
after that. I gave up very early on installing it from DOS partition. Also
the ext2 partition had to be left unmounted during the setup or it wouldn't
work!
