There *are* some stuff .4 not in .3.4 but the changes are definitely
do not affect the casual user.
If the installation of .4 is important, you can just get the teTeX
.3.4->.4 upgrade, and do the upgrading yourself. Upgrading teTeX is
not much more difficult then installing the .rpm: after downloading
the necessary packages and the proper upgrade (.3.4->.4 or .3.3->.4)
package, the rest is automatic. For more details, read
INSTALL.bin. You get the teTeX distribution at
ftp://ftp.duke.edu/tex-archive/systems/unix/teTeX
