I see, so I should have put 
	sendmail-path=/usr/sbin/sendmail -t

into /usr/lib/pine.conf. Then we definitely have to be warned about
this after installation, because even the FAQ will not explain how to
make pine work (and pine does not work  after installing qmail.rpm
unless I set `sendmail-path')
