Hi Folks,

I know, it's not quite related entirely with redhat, but the Problem
is, I've installed about 30 Systems usi9ng my own Created CIT (Cluster
Installation Tools, I'll make a release as soon as I have it cleaned
up a bit :)). The Systems to be installed had on
their Harddisk:

hda1 primary 12MB DOS Drive C., in fact, the Boot Part for all systems.
hda2 extended 900 Partition.
This partition had: 200 MB Drive D.
                         300 MB Drive E.
400 MB NTFS Partition with NT on it.

Now, I had still 300 MB Left, so I made my Installation on 2
Supplemetary primary Partitions. Note, these partitions did _NOT
EXIST_ as Windows NT 4.0 got installed. I installed them manually
after for the LiNUX Installation.

hda3 32MB LiNUX Swap
hda4 280MB LiNUX native.

Lilo got installed to work with all, and is Boot-loader for all
systems. dos, linux works flawlessly, the NT Boot-manager also comes
up, and starts the ntldr, whitch detects the NTFS Stuff. only, NT
won't come up, it just states it has a modified ntoskernel.

Now, I'm the LiNUX Admin on this part of the Campus also known as the
"Absolute Microsoft Hater" :). (BTW. It made me feel good as all NT
installations went away ;)).

It looks like NT Didn't like the Fact I added 2 more Primary
Partitions. My CoWorkers on the NT-Side already posted similar
Questions to the NT-Mailinglist, but no Answer came. So I'm asking in
here if someone had similar experiences with NT 4.0 (Note, testing NT
3.51 showed it works, but not NT with NT 4.0). It would be easy if my
CoWorkers (They are 5 To take care of 40 NT Clients and 4 NT Servers;
while I'm alone for 62 LiNUX Boxes and 2 Servers :), yes, hackers are
known to be able to do more than Any Payd M$ Guy :)) could install &
Configure 20 Boxes in 60 Minutes like I can with CIT on redhat 3.0.3,
but they are just able to install 1 box in this amount of time. So
it's kind of Overkill, and I'd like to help them out so they must not
reinstall everything from scratsch. It would take them 2 Weeks as I
know NT ;).

Any hints on this ???

I'm willing to believe more and more, that NT stands for "No Technology"
