talk problems in Colgate

I'm still having problems with talk under Colgate. Are others still
having this problem.
I can talk within my host, but am unable to initiate or respond to a talk
session with other hosts. I'm getting
[Checking for invitation on caller's machine]
This has been a problem since Rembrandt. Anyone with any clues or info?
