Due to some demand, I have setup a list of our current clients who have
requested LiNUX Networks. (Sorry, no names :-)
1. Medical/Airline Manufacturing Company
Employee's: 20
Terminals: 7-10
Servers: 1
Software: Modifyed Redhat LiNUX, Applixware, Postgress95, and other
assorted custom software.
Uses: Day to day office work, e-mail, factory reports (production
etc.)
Growth: Looking to grow rapidly in the next 3 years, need's an OS
that can handle it.
Looking to expand the LiNUX network in a year, and link west coast
operations, we have no idea how many more terminals and/or server,
probably quite a few, but thats down the road.
2. Adult Training
Employee's: Around 100 (Over several offices)
Terminals: 60 (On the one, LiNUX test site)
Description: Their company will use a LiNUX server to fileserve for
there windows 3.11/95/NT training facilities, adminstration will use
Applixware on X. as the LiNUX terminals are less expensive, and more
reliable, but the classroom must stay Windows.. For NOW! :-).
3. Desktop Publishing/Design
Employee's: NA
Desc: Provide Mac's with reliable fileserver, to serve a number of
offices around the regeion. Some existing and all new office stations
will be LiNUX terminals.
There you go folks, hope that helped with your marketing people... :-),
please ask if you have any more questions.
