RedHat sells Empress.
When did this start ? I had to go into research mode to find Empress
awhile back. I wonder what RedHat's pricing for Empress is like ?

While we're talking about databases, I have a very good question, from my
perspective...
I get it about C/C++ API stuff, and Perl, and even ODBC for Windows clients.
How exactly does ODBC work if the client is a Unix box ?
???
How do your programs interface to the ODBC client...daemon ?
There must still be a C/C++ API of some sort, I assume...
???
