Is anyone using Midnight Commander to do FTP? I find it connects to the
remote site and appears to be getting the file I want: i.e. it says it is
doing so and I can see the HD light flashing. However I can't find the
file anywhere on my disk - it seems to have gone to /dev/null.

Can anyone suggest what is going wrong? Something to do with Virtual File
System? There is an option to set a proxy server, but I don't know what
should go there (if anything).

If anyone has got MC to collect files via FTP I'd be very glad of some
advice.

Anthony
