I updated to the Red Hat 4.0 release, and am running into a little bit of
a challenge. For some reason, LILO doesn't like my machine, so RH support
put together a loadlin disk for me to run with. Works fine, but...

Well, actually I'd like to enable sound support, which means that I need
to (I think) recompile, figure out the initrd system, and copy the whole
lot over to DOS. Reading the various docs has confused me.

I think the actuall compile is not a problem: just run through the steps
of make mrproper, configure, dep, clean, zlinuz(or what ever, this is
memory), then make modules & install_mod. My question is: what do I put
into the initrd file? (For that matter, how can I mount the initrd file
suport provided to look at how they did it?)

I'd like to get this project figured out (and I'm stumped), so that I can
move on to the next 15 projects involving this computer (like getting
diald to work properly, and netatalk, and ....)

Thanks for the assistance!
