Under helpers in general preferences:
Descrription: WAV Audio
Type: audio/x-wav
Suffix: wav
Application: /usr/bin/play %s
This works for me. I have compiled sound support for my PAS16 into
the kernel also.I use this format for .au and .mid, with midi files using
/usr/bin/playmidi %s .
