The commonsese approach is to partition the problem.
Does catting a file to the device work? Yes/No? Progress is made.
If that works, can you send the same file using lpr without the filter?
If that works, run the filter on a text file. Is PCL5 output?
...and so on. Please post again as soon as there is more information about
excatly what is going wrong!
