Does anyone know if/how Xfree86 is capable of being used on a system with
a real old crappy Monochrome card? The machine runs linux fine, just has an
old Monochrome card, with no manufacturer name. The closest thing I can
find is
on the chip, Winbond, W86855AF. But if that is who makes it, its not listed as
supported. Is there perhaps a generic Mono mode? Like the Generic VGA.
I also have a crappy old Samsung MA2565 Monochrome monitor too.
Any ideas? or do I have to go VGA?
