Check /etc/sysconfig/<something>. I don't rember what the something
is.. but I had the same problem changing my BIOS clock over to
UTC... the system clock would loose (or was it gain? ;) 6 hours after
a reboot.
There is an option to tell the boot up scripts what mode your BIOS
clock is in...
