OK, let's add this to the FAQ:

"I'm a clueless (UNIX) newbie recently converted from the evil empire's
OS, and I need to know if there are any good books out there which
	contain clues."

And the answer is:

Yepper, look into the Linux Documentation Project. Start with
_Installation_and_Getting_Started_ and from there go to the _NAG_,
_SAG_ (when finished) and the others.

Some notes:

Some of these are _dated_, but they are FREE and good info.
_Installation_and_Getting_Started_ covers lots of newbie stuff and
	makes a good starting point.

Commercially printed versions of some of these exist (Dr. Linux) and
there are enhanced (commercial) versions of some of them available
	as well.

There are LOADS of good books for UNIX, which apply to Linux.
