RedHat 4.0 Installation problems

Hi all, i tried to install the RedHat 4.0. When the installation launch
fdisk to partition the HD, the ALT-F1 console freeze and i have the
following errors on ALT-F4 console :
<6>attempt to access beyond end of device
<6>02.00: rw=0, want=1072, limit=2
<6>attempt to access beyond end of device
<6>02.00: rw=0, want=1073, limit=2
...
And i have also the following errors on the ALT-F2 console :
*exec of /usr/bin/fdisk failed : Exec format error
I can't make a ls on the ALT-F2 shell, i have the following error :
# ls
ls : 1 : Syntax error:word unexpected (expecting ")")
I had no problem with the previous Redhat 3.0.3 installation disks.
I use the new boot and supp image.
My computer is an AST notebook ASCENTIA 950N with 16Mb
My HD is a Toshiba MK2770FC 1296Mb w/128KB CACHE
I have no problems with other computers.
