Understandable. Couple of points here: I am (was) not using the Microsoft
FTP server; It was a third party freeware server
called WarFTP. I searched through the help files but could not find any
reference to Passive FTP so lets assume that
it does not support it.
Next point of attack: I also have an SGI Indy running IRIX 5.2 on the
network here. I have dumped the directory
structure that I downloaded from your website on that machine.
Here is what my structure looks like:
/disk3/users/goel/linux/-
RPMS
base
instimage
Now when I try using the install program to grab the installation files off
the Indy, heres what I specify:
FTP Site Name: Ip address of the Indy
Red Hat directory: /disk3/users/goel/linux/
This time it looks like it logs in and does something; as soon as I hit OK
from the next screen (where you enter
your user name and password), a dialog box quickly flashes by and I am
thrown back to the FTP setup screen above.
This change is real quick so I tried using CTRL-S to find out what that
error message was. Turns out that
it says something to the effect of:
getting base/hdlist
I have verified that the file (hdlist) exists within the base directory
(/disk3/users/goel/linux/).
Maybe I am missing something here?
Thank you for your help.
