Thanks to all the folks who've been so helpful.
A week into it, I'm very happy with Colgate.

Unfortunately, my 3-week-old WD Caviar 2.5 Gig
died a death of intermittent inode corruption
every few hours to a day.

Kudos to WDC for having a weekend support line.
Their attitude toward this customer was less impressive.
If you care to know more, ask me in *private* e-mail.
Suffice it to say here, if my reseller hadn't taken
the drive back, I'd have an ugly $300 paperweight.

Everybody makes a few lemons.
The difference is in how you respect the customer.

Any recommendations for a good drive with solid support?

TIA,
Kyle Ferrio
