I don't mean to try to talk you out of this -- it seems at the least
to be a very practical thing to do. But if someone was able to get
enough privilege or access to screw around with the logs on one
machine (assuming you're concerned about crackers), couldn't he
just as easily follow the network to wherever the logging
is actually being done?
