printing from solaris to redhat.

I have a good network connection between redhat 5.2 and Solaris X-86 2.6
I want to print a document from solaris to redhat where the redhat
machine has
a defined and working printer called lp
I used the command lpr -Plinuxbox:lp filename
nothing happens. what is wrong???
Can someone please shead some light on this one.
