With no network connectivity, it appeared named was the culprit. It was
the one printing all of the error messages that I could see on the screen.
I had the latest one (I thought) version 4.9.7. I re-installed RH 5.1 and
reupdated named. this appears to have cured the problem. After I get the
other updates, I'll install them also.
I would have updated to 5.2, but even though I'm on the subscription
program, I have not gotten my 5.2 yet. It appears ordering from linuxmall
is cheaper and faster.
