I don't know of any published results, but there are a few relatively
standard benchmark suites, such as the Byte Unix benchmark, which
you could use. Also there are tests like iozone, bonnie, fpubench,
Larry McVoy's benchmark programs, et. al.

You might start by reading the comp.benchmarks FAQ.
