hi,
thanks for the replies about CD-RW's - i think i'll go for the
SCSI after all.
in the meantime ...
has anyone had any success with cdrdao ?
i'm using the latest version : cdrdao-1.09
on a RH-5.2 PII 266 system using Phillips CDD3610 CD-RW
(ide-scsi emulation)
according to his web page, this is one of the drives that is
known to work (apart from the read-toc function).
however, when i try to write i get the following error:
ERROR: Cannot open generic scsi device '/dev/cdrecorder': Read-only file
system
(/dev/cdrecorder is just a sym-link to /dev/scd0)
i can get cdrecord to work, but that puts gaps between the audio tracks.
any ideas? or is there any other software that doesnt write the gaps?
thanks in advance ....
keith.
