It keeps a logfile in the /tmp directory.
With what detail, I don't know. I never checked because
everything worked fine after I made minor fixes
in 3 files that had an rpmsave.
find . -print | grep rpmsave | xargs emacs
It will upgrade about 90% of the installed packages
since 90% of the rpms in 5.1 are newer than those on 5.0.
