Hello,

I just did a couple upgrades to my 5.1 install - installed some 5.2
packages. Now, however, when I reboot the machine does not mount
my /usr/local partition automatically. And when I try:

mount /usr/local

it says it can't find it in /etc/mtab or /etc/fastb

however, when i do:

mount -t ext2 /dev/hda1 /usr/local

it works, ok. the relevant line out of my fstab:

/dev/hda1 /usr/local ext2 defaults 1 1

which seems ok to me. what am I missing? any help/pointers is
greatly appreciated. Thanks

felix
