Jeff,

	Pine will indeed retrive mail directly from a mail server. The
details of how to do just that are in the FAQ. While I could tell you how
to do it, Pine does all kinds of things nicely and the FAQ points most of
them out in a simple, easy to understand manner. Spend ten minutes reading
the FAQ and you'll quickly have Pine fetching Mail, News and washing your
supper dishes.
