Although I have all the KDE (and qt) files, I'm still missing some
library that I hope to find some day. But in anticipation of that
day, here's a question: does the above procedure add FileRunner to a
menu or shortcut, or is it just a temporary command line run?

The reason I ask is that I'm currently running xfce, and I appreciate
how easy it is to add commands to the menu without editing any text
files.
