Possible Problem with MC (redhat 5.2)

I have Redhat 5.2, Updated from 5.1 with kernel 2.1.130 and all
updates installed
and have a problem with "mc".
Under 5.1 I usted to be able to select a rpm file hit enter and see
the rpm's contents under 5.2 I see the header file, but no program
files / directorys in the rpm mc works quite happily with tar
files..
Have I found a MC "funny " or have just messed up My Upgrade
???
