someone else suggested this also (I lost that e-mail). lesstiff did not
install the library that the jdk rpm wanted. I finally found the
blackrock site and downloaded the tar.gz file and installed the jdk that
way. The jdk web pages said that Motif was an option. Evidently, the rpm
builder only rpm'd the Motif version.
I think the jdk-1.1.7 rpm out there is broken in that regard.
