I'm trying to get my memorex crw-1622 ide writer to write under linux.
It mounts cdroms just fine.
I got xcdroast's "mymkisofs" to work where RedHat's installed mkisofs
would not (reading a file system mounted nfs), and I
created an iso file. I booted into NT and created a CD from it. The CD
looks good, but it is wrong in one small detail. I'll get to that later.
xcdroast has a problem with libtcl and won't run. I compiled the source
and that did not fix it. I tried BurnIT, and after installing jdk-1.1.7, I
got it to install. It is asking me for the device/id. I'm lost at this
point. It appears it is expecting a scsi drive. I'm running kernel
2.0.35. my cdrom is /dev/hdb.
finally, I need to know why when the iso file was created, and the
trans.tbl was installed, the directories all turned into lower case when
mounted under RedHat. The command line I used with the xcdroast's
mymkisofs is as follows
mkisofs -T -f -o redhat.cd /slow1/home/ftp/pub/redhat/i386
Can someone help?
thanks!
