Opera is a real breath of fresh air! I've played briefly with the Winshite
versions and think it's wonderful. Over the last year or so it's become more
and more capable without sacrificing stability. Try running 12-15 concurrent
page downloads in NutScrape or Internet Imploder ;-)
As a web designer, Opera conforms to HTML 3.2 far closer than the other shit
out there. I can write pages for Opera, but end up having to fart around to
make them work on other platforms.
Unfortunately the Linux portation team didn't hit the required targets and
were dropped by Opera Software. I hope that another team is found soon as I
REALLY WANT this for Linux.
