What's wrong with lynx? I use it all the time to read the weather reports,
which are text only. I had (until I switched ot Redhat) a menu item that would
download the latest satellite picture and display it using xv, and while it was
downloading, show the weather reports using lynx. MUCH faster and less
resource-hungry than using Netscape!
