Automatic mounting of the CD ROM is possible using autofs. I had it running
on a RHL 5.1 box at some stage and it wasn't that difficult, but
unfortunately, I don't have access to that box anymore (and - as usual - I
was too lazy to write down what I did... :-( ), so I can't tell you the
exact setup. But I'm sure somebody else on the list will know that.
