generate a thread which doesn't lead to anywhere. I understood from the
responses that basically nobody sees this as important, practical or worth
streamlining so maybe we should just drop the whole subject and kill the
thread. I just wonder how manu questions will be posed by newcomers to
this list about the different tags in front of the messages.
