bladeenc is really easy to use and defaults to 128kbit mp3s.  I've never
used 8hz-mp3 and l3enc I've only used under DOS but it worked well
there.  Had to be registered though to create 128kbit mp3s.

Actually, a question to anyone else re: bladenc - Does it actually
create 16bit, 44KHz 128kbit mp3s?  When ever I play one I have created
it shows as an 8bit 22Khz stereo mp3.  Sounds great though.  Wierd.
